"Knightmare" status: stripping Interior
If you haven't guessed it, I'm currently now taking KnightMare (My 1996 Cavalier) to a whole new level.
Within the past 2 weeks, I took virtually all of the interior out sparing the carpeting and my sub box. I also took the top off my dash to work inside it and pull some un-necessaries out of it, such as the radio and vent ducting. After doing that, I relocated (but have yet to rewire) my voltmeter and Tach to the center vent holes with the tach angled towards the driver's seat.
Eventually, I'd like to make a piece of sheet metal that will go over the hole where the radio used to be, so that I can mount some switches there and a few indicator LEDs, such as a toggle switch for my fog lights and bypass switches as well as making some sort of panel to go across the vent holes.
Why am I doing all this? Well, it's mainly in preperation of this year's AutoX and Polish Mtn. Hillclimb.
